  6. product is written in C and may be used from both C and FORTRAN. S-GKS is a
  7. powerful toolkit for programmers wishing to develop graphics applications. It
  8. provides a comprehensive set of input and output facilities and supports a wide
  9. range of devices including graphics terminals, printers and plotters. These
  10. include Postscript and the X Window system. Graphical images may be stored in
  11. metafiles, both GKS and CGM metafile formats are supported, for transfer to
  12. other computer systems or for future replay on the original system.
